Mather Fine Homes prides itself on being a family run company. This allows us to oversee all aspects of the building process. This key factor has been paramount to our success. Alan Mather, following a successful career as an Industrial / Commercial real estate agent, started building in the Lawrence Park area of Toronto in 1981. As demands grew, Alan expanded to build throughout Toronto including Forest Hill, Rosedale, York Mills, and Yorkville and as far away as Calgary and Florida.

In 1991, Alan’s wife Sheila joined in the daily operation of the business. As a resident of Lawrence Park, Alan was sensitive to the ambiance of the community and designed houses that maintained the area’s character.

Alan set the standard for infill housing in the area.

Alan's eye for detail and dedication to a consistent theme in design has resulted in homes that both fit into their surroundings and fulfill today’s family’s demands.

In two thousand and five, Alan and Sheila's son, Adam joined the business, enhancing the family tradition of creativity, attention to detail, and unwavering energy. Adam’s unique combination of core business values mirrors that which Alan has implemented through many years of custom building.
